Experiment MOP-I forms part of the scientific research program performed by Italian Astronaut Roberto Vittori (ESA) on the Russian Segment of the ISS in the frame of ENEIDE ISM Project. The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of the research program.


USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

  • Questionnaire with a set of forms
 

PURPOSE:

Have an idea about the process of vestibular adaptation to a change of gravity nature.

OBJECTIVE:

Assess the degree of vestibular adaptation by defining an individual perception of motion.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Questionnaire sheets filled by the astronaut during a 10-day mission describing his sense of motions as a result of the head motions with the indication of presence or absence of discomfort in a daily life linked to a space adaptation syndrome.
