Experiment MOTION PERCEPTION is a part of the scientific research program to be conducted by ESA astronaut of the Dutch nationality Andre Kuipers onboard the ISS RS in the frame of DSM Delta Project. The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of the research program.


USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

  • Crew logbook with a set of questionnaires "Motion perception",
    in which the astronaut should document his motion sensation and nature of discomfort experienced in the course of his daily activity and associated with the space adaptation syndrome.
 

PURPOSE:

Assessment of the degree of vestibular adaptation to G-transitions.

OBJECTIVE:

Gain insight in the process of vestibular adaptation by rating motion perception.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:
