MEDOPS experiment is a part of the science research program to be performed aboard the ISS RS by Pedro Duque, ESA astronaut of Spanish nationality in the frame of the SSM SERVANTES Project. The European Space Agency is a customer for the preparation and implementation of the scientific program.

The hardware of the ISS US Segment equipment is used in the experiment. The experiment will be performed in LAB1 of the US Segment.

USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

Carbon dioxide monitoring device of the crew health care system (CheCS).

 

PURPOSE:

Determination of differences in CO2 levels in various ISS locations.

OBJECTIVE:

Measurement of CO2 levels in places for sleep during periods of potential CO2 accumulation and during physical training.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Data on CO2 accumulation in various areas of the US Segment of the ISS.
