EDUCATION: 1981, she took her Bachelor Degree in biology/chemistry
in Iowa (Веслейн) College. 1985, she took her degree of
doctor in biochemistry in the (Райе) University, Houston,

AWARDS AND RANKS: awarded for working in a team for the
Mir-Shuttle Program, Prize of the Rendolf Lovelance the
Second American Aerospace Society, NASA medals and awards,
International award of the KRUG company. Summ Kum Laud Honorary
Degree from Iowa Veslain College, she is on the President
list of honorary students for 1978-1981.
HOBBY: wind-serfing, cycling, basketball, water skis.
WORK EXPERIENCE: In 1986 she received job at JSC/NASA as
a Member of National Board on the research.
From April, 1988 to September, 1989, she headed research
team in biochemistry in the KRUG company, subcontractor
In 1991-1997 she was professor assistant at the medicine
and biochemistry and genetics departments in the Texas University,
(Галвестон), Houston. In 1997 she also was a professor assistant
at biochemistry and molecular biology in the (Райе) University.
From 1991 to 1992 she was a member of a joint USA-USSR working
team on space medicine and biology.
In 1992 she was assigned as a research manager of the Mir-Shuttle
project and stayed at that position till Phase 1A completion
From 1993 to 1996 she worked as deputy head of medical sciences
department at JSC/NASA.
From 1995 to 1996 she was a co-chairman of the Russian-American
working team on the scientific project.
In 1996 she was selected as a NASA candidate astronaut.
After graduating two years training course she received
a task from the astronaut office to support astronauts participation
in the hardware testing in Russia in 1998-1999.
Currently she is being trained for flight as onboard engineer
for backup ISS-3 crew and onboard engineer for the main
