Soyuz MS-20 at the filling station

Pre-launch processing of the manned transportation spacecraft (MTS) Soyuz MS-20 for the launch under the Contract with the Space Adventures to the International Space Station (ISS) continues at the Baikonur Launch Site. Today specialists from RSC Energia and core enterprises of Roscosmos started fueling operations.

In accordance with the technical managements decision, the spacecraft was delivered to the filling-neutralization station of Site 31 to have its united propulsion system loaded with compressed gases and propellant components. Upon completion of the fueling operations the spacecraft will be brought back to the processing facility of Site 254 to undergo the final stage of prelaunch processing.

The prime crew of Soyuz MS-20 consists of commander Alexandr Misurkin (Roscosmos) and spaceflight participants President of the Start Today Corporation Yusaku Maezawa and his personal assistant Yozo Hirano. Their backups are Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexandr Skvortsov and Shun Ogiso. The launch of Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle carrying Soyuz-MS-20 is scheduled for December 8, 2021.
