Soyuz MS-19 launched to the ISS

October 5, 2021

Today, October 5, 2021 at 11:55:00 Moscow Time, the launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a carrying the Crew Transportation Spacecraft Soyuz MS-19 lifted-off from Launch Pad No.31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome under the program of the next 66th Expedition to the International Space Station (ISS). Nine minutes into the flight into the flight the spacecraft normally separated from the third stage and entered it target orbit.

The crew onboard Soyuz MS-19 consists of: Commander Anton Shkaplerov (Roscosmos) and the film crew of the feature film "Challenge" actress Yulia Peresild and film director Klim Shipenko.

At present Soyuz MS-19 is in free flight to the International Space Station guided by specialists of the Lead Operations Control Team for the ISS Russian Segment at the Mission Control Center (Korolev).

The Soyuz MS-19 rendezvous with the ISS is performed in automatic mode using the super-quick two-orbit profile. The spacecraft docking to Rassvet module of the ISS Russian Segment is scheduled at 15:20 Moscow Time. Together with the crew the spacecraft will deliver to the station about 161 kg of payloads, including props and video equipment for the filming crew.
