Rocket with cargo spacecraft Progress MS-16 is installed on the launch pad

Today integrated launch vehicle (ILV) Soyuz-2.1 with cargo transportation spacecraft Progress S-16 was rolled out from the integration and test facility of the launch vehicle and erected on the launch pad of Area 31 of the Baikonur Launch Site.

According to L-2 day program the launch teams began to perform processing operations on preflight testing of ILV systems and assemblies with the interface check of the onboard and ground equipment of the rocket and space complex.

The launch of the launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1 carrying Progress MS-16 to the ISS is scheduled for February 15, 2021 from the Baikonur Launch Site. The spacecraft is to deliver to the ISS 600 kg of resupply propellant, 420 liters of portable water of Rodnik system and 40.5 kg of compressed gases with additional nitrogen supplies, as well as about 1 400 kg of various equipment and materials including hardware for onboard control and life support systems, kits for space experiments, medical monitoring and sanitary and hygienic items, articles of clothing, standard food ratios and fresh products for the current Expedition crewmembers.
