![]() NewsFinal assembly of launch vehicle with Progress MS-16February 11, 2021At the Baikonur Launch Site, the prelaunch processing of cargo transportation vehicle Progress MS-16 developed and built by RSC Energia under the program of the 77th resupply mission to the International Space Station is being completed. Today specialists from RSC Energia and core enterprises of Roscosmos performed a set of processing operations on the final assembly of integrated launch vehicle (ILV) Soyuz-2.1à with Progress MS-16 in the integration and test facility of Area 31 at the Baikonur Launch Site. Summarizing the results of the following meeting, the technical management and the State Commission drew a conclusion on ILV readiness for roll out and installation on the launch pad. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle carrying Progress MS-16 is scheduled for February 15, 2021 from the Baikonur Launch Site. The spacecraft shall deliver to the ISS resupply propellant, reserve supplies of portable water and air, as well as 1 400 kg of various hardware and materials required for further operation of the station in a manned mode.
