Designers inspection of Soyuz MS-17 and encapsulation of the fairing

At the Baikonur launch site the pre-launch processing of manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-17 for launch on October 14 to the International Space Station (ISS) under the ISS-63/64 expeditions program is in progress.

According to the processing schedule, the specialists from RSC Energia and specialized enterprises of Roscosmos conducted a designers inspection of Soyuz MS-17, performed processing operations on encapsulation of the fairing, and checked the launch readiness of the spacecraft within the ascent unit.

The prime crew of Soyuz MS-17 consists of commander Sergei Ryzhikov (Roscosmos), flight engineer 1 Sergey Kud-Sverchkov (Roscosmos) and flight engineer 2 Kathleen Rubins (NASA). Their backups are Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Novitski, Petr Dubrov and NASA astronaut Mark Vande Hei.
