Soyuz MS-17 at filling station

September 29, 2020

Pre-launch processing of the manned transportation spacecraft (MTS) Soyuz MS-17 for the launch under the program of Expeditions 63 and 64 to the International Space Station (ISS) continues at the Baikonur cosmodrome. Today RSC Energia specialists started fuelling operations.

Yesterday evening, in accordance with the technical managements decision, the spacecraft was delivered to the filling station of Area 31 to have its united propulsion system loaded with compressed gases and propellant components. According to the processing schedule, the fuelling operations are to be completed on October 1, when the spacecraft returns to the processing facility of Area 254 to undergo the final stage of processing for the launch, which is scheduled for October 14, 2020.
