Progress S-15 mated to the adapter section

July 14, 2020

The processing of the cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-15 for the launch under the program of the 76th re-supply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) continues at the Baikonur Launch Site.

As per schedule, specialists from RSC Energia and core companies of Roscosmos completed a sequence of operations to mate a cargo transportation spacecraft (CTS) Progress MS-15 to the adapter section of the third stage of the launch vehicle (LV). The adapter section is a part of the ascent unit and provides a mechanical link between the spacecraft and the payload fairing, as well as integration of the Progress MS-15 command interface into the onboard control system of the Soyuz-2.1a LV.

The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle carrying Progress MS-15 is scheduled for July 23, 2020 from the Baikonur Launch Site.
