Progress MS-13 cargo spacecraft has completed its mission

July 9, 2020

Today, on July 9 under the International Space Station (ISS) flight program Progress MS-13 cargo transportation spacecraft, developed and built by RSC Energia, successfully completed its mission. On Wednesday at 21:22 Moscow time the spacecraft undocked from the Station.

On July 9 at 00:31 Moscow time the Progress MS-13 propulsion system fired a de-boost burn. Four minutes later it was disabled, and the spacecraft continued its orbital decay.

According to the calculations of the trajectory specialists at 01:05 Moscow time Progress MS-13 cargo spacecraft made a re-entry to the Earth atmosphere. The structural elements of the spacecraft that had not burned up in the atmosphere impacted a non-navigational area in the Pacific Ocean about 1 800 km southeast of the city of Wellington (New Zealand).
