Victory Rocket launched from Baikonur

April 25, 2020

Today, on April 25, 2020 at 04:51:41 the launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1 carrying the logistics spacecraft Progress MS-14 developed and manufactured by RSC Energia lifted-off from Launch Pad No.31 of the Baikonur Launch Site under the flight program to the International Space Station. According to the telemetry information in 8 minutes 48 seconds a nominal separation of the spacecraft from the launcher upper stage was recorded.

The launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1, named a Victory Rocket, successfully injected the Russian spacecraft into a planned orbit. Specialists from the Lead Operational Control Team for ISS Russian Segment in Korolev proceeded to the flight control.

The flight of Progress MS-14 logistics vehicle to the ISS will be carried out using a super-fast two-orbit rendezvous profile and take a little more than three hours the docking is scheduled for 08:12 Moscow time. The berthing to the instrument compartment of Zvezda module of the Russian Segment is planned to be carried out automatically under the supervision of specialists from the Lead Operational Control Team (LOCT) and Russian crewmembers of the ISS-63 Expedition - Roscosmos cosmonauts Anatoli Ivanishin and Ivan Vagner. The spacecraft will deliver to the International Space Station more than two tons of cargo of various application i.e. 650 kg of propellant and 46 kg of compressed gases. The cargo compartment accommodates 1.35 tons of cargo, including food containers, medical supplies, sanitary and hygienic materials for the crew, as well as consumable equipment for the ISS onboard systems, devices for conducting scientific experiments and water.
