Measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection at RSC Energia

April 10, 2020

Under the conditions of high epidemiological alert, RSC Energia continues carrying out the plan of crew and cargo transportation spacecraft launch campaigns, as well as providing support for the ISS RS mission. To prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus infection, the general director of RSC Energia Nikolai Sevastianov has approved a new work pattern.

To implement the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, most of the company employees are now staying at home in self-isolation. To carry out activities under the companys program, employees work under individualized schedules. Employees are provided with personal protective equipment. Thanks to modern technology, many of them are telecommuting.

Those employees who, for a demonstrably good reason, have to visit the offices and production facilities of the company, have to submit to a mandatory body temperature check. Disinfection of all the working rooms is performed several times a day.

All the Corporation employees were briefed on the advisories from the Russian Agency for Health and Consumer Rights and the World Health Organization about possible symptoms of COVID-19 virus and the recommended precautions. The companys employees are instructed to stay at home, and to avoid visiting public places and using public transportation.

General Director Nikolai Sevastianov has set up headquarters for prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection and task forces to address specific operational issues. The health of employees and cohabiting members of their families is monitored on a daily basis.

Senior management of the company carries on business as usual. Contacts with the outer world have been minimized, partners visits have been cancelled. All the meetings are conducted via teleconferencing.
