Launch vehicle with Soyuz S-16 Manned Spacecraft is Installed on the Launch Pad

April 6, 2020

This morning the Soyuz-2.1 integrated launch vehicle (ILV) with Soyuz MS-16 manned transport spacecraft has been rolled out from the launch vehicle integration and test facility and erected on the launch pad of Area 31 at the Baikonur Launch Site.

The launch teams began to conduct processing operations on preflight tests of the ILV systems and assemblies with interface checks of the onboard and ground equipment of the rocket and space complex.

The launch of the upgraded Soyuz 2.1a launch vehicle with Soyuz MS-16 to the International Space Station is scheduled for April 9, 2020 under the ISS-62/63 Expedition program.
