25 years from the launch of the Spektr module

On May 20, 1995 the Proton-K launch vehicle carrying the Spektr research module was launched from the Baikonur Launch Site under the assembly program for the world's first multi-module manned orbital complex Mir.
Dmitri Rogozing introduced Igor Ozar to the staff of RSC Energia

On June 1, 1995 after a 12-day free flight the module automatically approached the axial docking port of the core module of the Mir orbital complex. Then Spektr using a remotely-controlled manipulator was relocated to the lateral port of the core module and became part of the orbital complex. In this period the international crew of the 18th main expedition consisting of cosmonauts V.N.Dezhurov, G.M.Strekalov and NASA astronaut N.Tagard worked aboard at the station.
On May 18, 2020 the General Director of Roscosmos Dmitri Rogozin introduced to the staff of S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia the new acting director general of the company Igor Ozar. The decision to appoint him to this position was made by the Board of Directors of RSC Energia on May 15.This appointment will be finalized by the Supervisory Board of the State Corporation Roscosmos at its next meeting at the end of this month.
60th anniversary of the launch of the first Vostok spacecraft

On May 15, 1960, a three-stage launch vehicle Vostok was launched from the Baikonur launch site carrying an experimental prototype of the Vostok spacecraft in order to conduct flight tests under the program of the first manned mission into space.
RSC Energia has procured personal protective equipment for medical workers

Development of our country’s manned spacecraft began in OKB-1 (now known as RSC Energia) by the Government Resolution dated May 22, 1959. In as little as one year the OKB-1 design team led by the Chief Designer Sergei Pavlovich Korolev completeMay 15, 2020d development of the main systems and equipment of the new spacecraft, and the Pilot Production Plant No.88 (now known as ZAO ZEM of RSC Energia) built the first units of this product in cooperation with other companies in the rocket and space industry.
RSC Energia has provided targeted assistance to health workers. The Corporate Board held a meeting to review the possibility of procuring the necessary personal protective equipment for the Medical Unit No.170 of the town of Korolev in view of the coronavirus pandemic and continuing threat of further spread of COVID-19.

The Victory Day is a great holiday, which brings together all the generations of our country. Every family has their own soldiers and heroes. And the memory of them is cherished and held sacred. We remember acts of valor of our heroic warriors who defended liberty and independence of our Motherland. We remember how many of them died
in the war and did not come back home! We are proud of their courage and fortitude, perseverance, dedicated service to their country, faith in the victory! Today, they march along with us in the monolithic Immortal Regiment, with their impressive faces in black-and-white photos and lists of fronts and awards.
Representatives of the Young Employees Council and the Trade Union Committee of RSC Energia took part in the All-Russia of the mutual assistance initiative #WeAreTogether aimed at giving support to elderly, handicapped people and medical workers during coronavirus pandemic.

The awards that our company received from the Government include the Order of Lenin, which was given in 1944 to the Central Artillery Design Bureau (CADB), that was later to become a part of OKB-1, for distinguished service in the field of developing new and improving the existing models of artillery weapons.
Employees of the Baikonur branch of RSC Energia congratulated the war workers of the town of Baikonur on the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Under conditions of the coronavirus epidemy gifts were delivered to homes with the observance of the safety precautions.

Evgeni Anatolievich Mikrin passed away

On the morning of May 5, 2020, having contracted an illness, the General Designer – first deputy general director of RSC Energia, general designer for manned space systems, a member of the scientific and technical council of the RF Military-Industrial Commission Evgeni Anatolievich Mikrin passed away in the Central Clinical Hospital of the Administrative Department of the Russian Federation President.
Since 1981 he has worked at NPO Energia (now S.P.Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia), which is the prime company in Russia for development and operation of manned space systems. He rose through the ranks form an engineer to the General Designer.
