Dear colleagues, Dear friends,

Once again, its end of December, light frost outdoors, there are beautifully decorated New Year trees in our homes and in the streets, and a lot of pre-holiday errands to run. And this means that 2019 will soon pass into history. Lets recall this year, because for us, for the entire large team of employees of Roscosmos companies that year was full of interesting and important events.

We opened a new page in the exploration of the Universe. The unique spacecraft Spektr-RG carrying Russian and German telescopes in 100 days covered more than one and a half million of kilometers, and, having reached the Lagrange L2 point in the Sun-Earth system entered its operational orbit.

Together with our European colleagues, we prepared for the launch in the next year a robotic science station ExoMars-2020, which will travel untrodden paths on the Red Planet and will expand our knowledge about it. To implement our programs of study and exploration of the Moon and deep space planets we have embarked on the development of a super-heavy launch vehicle, the preliminary design of which was approved by the Scientific and Technical Council in the outgoing year.

Our launch capabilities will be significantly expanded by Vostochny launch site, the construction of facilities of which and the social infrastructure of the town of Tsiolkovsky we continued. There will be no less than five launches from the new launch site in 2020.

In cooperation with the Government of Moscow we embarked on the construction of the National Space Center, on the premises of which will be located a central office and a technopark, and which will bring together the leading scientific and technical organizations in the industry. Our manned Space Odyssey to the ISS continues. This year we sent to it three expeditions, conducted first experiments in using an anthropomorphic robot in space, our beloved Fyodor.

Of course, this is not an exhaustive list of the events of the outgoing year, and each of us has his or her own successes and achievements. I would like to thank all of you for your work, for the contribution each of you made to the common cause the development of the space industry, implementation of projects that are of strategic importance to Russia and maintaining our leading positions in many areas of space activities! Let alone our important achievements in military space.

We have no less ambitious plans before us in the coming new year of 2020. I'm certain that they will be carried out with the high professionalism inherent in our industry!

With all my heart I wish you, your families, your near and dear ones the Happy New Year and Merry Christmas! I want to whish you, colleagues, cosmic health, self-confidence, new achievements and prosperity! Happy New Year, friends!
