RSC Energia: Progress MS-12 cargo spacecraft undocked from the ISS

November 29, 2019

The cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-12 has successfully completed the phase of its orbital mission when it was attached to the International Space Station (ISS).

Today, at 13:24 Moscow Time, Progress MS-12 undocked as scheduled from the Pirs (DC1) module of the ISS Russian Segment. After departure from the station, the spacecraft, flying in autonomous mode, will establish the required attitude, and after just two orbits around Earth, will perform a de-orbit maneuver using the onboard propulsion system. As a result of these operations, Progress MS-12 will re-enter the atmosphere, and unburnt fragments of its structure will go down into a pre-defined area of the Pacific Ocean.

Progress MS-12 logistics vehicle had been staying attached to the ISS since July 31, 2019.
