ROSCOSMOS. The Proton-M launch vehicle with Spektr-RG observatory has been delivered to the launch site

June 14, 2019

Today, June 14, 2019, in compliance with the decision of the State Commission Proton-M launch vehicle (LV) with Upper Stage (US) DM-03 and new orbital observatory Spektr-RG was delivered from the integration facility of site 92-50 to the launch pad. The Proton-M LV transportation to the launch pad began in the morning at 4:30 Moscow time.

Presently the launch vehicle with the spacecraft has been delivered to the launch complex of site 81, installed on the launch pad in a vertical position. Upon delivery to the launch vehicle of the service tower and service lines connection specialists of ROSCOSMOS enterprises proceeded to operations under the schedule of the launch minus two days.

The work schedule for the nearest 7 days includes the conduct of autonomous tests of the spacecraft, launch vehicle, upper stage, integrated tests of LV control systems, as well as checks of the ground equipment of the launch site.

In the morning on June 21 the meeting of the State Commission will be held where dicsions on the filling and subsequent launch of the Proton-M integrated launch vehicle planned at 15:17:14 Moscow time will be accepted. Together with Upper stage DM-03 they will inject Russian astrophysical observatory Spektr-RG into orbit.
