The Chief Designers Board for the Soyuz-5 RSC was created

May 24, 2019

In order to implement general technical management of work, for coordination and making a collective decision of scientific and technical issues related to the creation of the Soyuz-5 rocket-space complex (RSC) by order of Director General of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia on May 20, 2019 the Chief Designers Board (CDB) for the Soyuz-5 RSC was formed.

The Chief Designers Board for Soyuz-5 RSC includes representatives of the following enterprises: S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, JSC RKTs Progress, JSC RKS, FSUE TsNIImash, FSUE TsENKI, JSC NPO Energomash, JSC KBKHA, JSC "NPO AVTOMATIKA, FSUE NPTs AP, ZAO ZEM RSC Energia, VMZ – a subsidiary company of M.V. Khrunichev GKNPTs, JSC Krasmash , FKP NITs RKP, FSUE NPO TEKHNOMASH and SSC FSUE Keldysh Center.

For reference:

By order of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated July 28, 2017, S.P. Korolev RSC Energia was determined as the sole executor of DW Feniks to develop a middle-class rocket-space complex of the new generation, namely the Soyuz-5 RSC.

On July 26, 2018 State Corporation Roscosmos concluded a state contract for the implementation of development work with S.P. Korolev RSC Energia as the prime contractor of work on the creation of the Soyuz-5 RSC.

By Order of Director General of State Corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin of April 26, 2019 Director General of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia Nikolai Sevastianov was appointed Chief Designer of the new generation middle class rocket-space complex (Soyuz 5 RSC).
