On March 31, the general assembly of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progess MS-11 cargo transport vehicle was completed. The payload module with the cargo vehicle and the third stage is mated with the “package” (stages 1 and 2) of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle.

Today, on March 30 the cargo vehicle within the payload module was prepared for transportation – specialists of the Corporation provided tilting of the vehicle in a horizontal position and its reloading into a special car in which Progress MS-11 was then transported by rail to general assembly with the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle.

Onboard the International Space Station the Soyuz MS-12 crew was met by the ISS-59 expedition commander – Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and flight engineers – CSA astronaut David Saint-Jacques and NASA astronaut Anne McClain.

The prime crew consists of Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin (the crew commander), NASA astronauts Nick Haque (flight-engineer) and Christina Koch (flight engineer-2). Their approved backups are Roscosmos cosmonaut Aleksandr Skvortsov, ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano and NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan.
Today, March 12, ILV Soyuz was rolled out from the processing facility to the launch pad. The medium launch vehicle Soyuz-FG integrated with the Crew Transportation spacecraft (CTS) Soyuz MS-12 is erected on the launch pad of Area No.1 (“Gagarin’s launch pad”) of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.

In the course of one day, specialists from RSC Energia and other leading companies in the rocket and space industry have successfully completed final sequence of operations to assemble the integrated launch vehicle.
In accordance with the pre-launch processing plan on March 10 the crews of the upcoming expedition to the ISS conducted the second “fit check” – a check inspection of the launch-ready spacecraft.

After a briefing, the main and the backup crews took their seats in the spacecraft, familiarized themselves with locations of the payloads and equipment in the descent vehicle and the orbital module, checked the operability of various systems, including communications system, in test mode.

On Saturday, March 2, the spacecraft was transferred to the pre-launch processing facility after having been filled with propellant components and compressed gases and installed into a jig for further prelaunch processing operations.
At Baikonur launch site RSC Energia specialists have completed operations to fill the crew transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-12 with propellant components and compressed gases.
After the filling the spacecraft was brought into the spacecraft processing facility and installed into a jig for further pre-launch processing. According to the pre-launch processing schedule on March 4 the spacecraft will be mated to the transfer compartment.
