Dmitry Rogozin introduced a new leader of Energia

In compliance with calculations of the Mission Control Center specialists at 19:08 Moscow time the main engine of the cargo vehicle was fired for braking, after which the vehicle was de-orbited.
Today, on January 25, during the working visit to RSC Energia, Director General of State Corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin introduced new leader Nikolai Sevastianov to the Corporation staff.

The decision of appointing Nikolai Sevastianov as Acting Director General of RSC Energia was made by the Corporation Board of Directors on January 24. At the same time it was decided to convene an extraordinary general shareholders meeting to elect the Director General (the end of voting is March 5, 2019).
A meeting of the Board of Directors of public company RSC Energia held in the form of voting by correspondence (final date of voting – January 24, 2019) made a decision to suspend the powers of the General Director of public company RSC Energia Romanov, Sergey Yurievich, as of January 24, 2019.

The first meeting in orbit

The seminar was organized by the Human Resources Department. The training provider was one of the leading institutions of additional education in Russia in the field of the personnel office-work – the Institute of professional personnel officers.
Fifty years ago, on January 16, 1969, two manned spacecraft Soyuz-4 and Soyuz-5 met over the Earth. For the first time in the world after docking in a near-earth orbit a Soviet Space Station was put into operation with a crew of four cosmonauts: Vladimir Shatalov, Boris Volynov, Alexey Eliseev and Evgeny Khrunov.
A “Smart Shelf” appeared on the ISS

Cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko installed a "smart shelf" on board the ISS, which will facilitate the crew operations. Designed at RSC Energia the "shelf" is a device capable of reading RFID tags which will be attached to the equipment and different objects arriving to the station.
RSC Energia celebrated 112th anniversary of S.P. Korolev

The photograph shows that it looks like a cabinet with small doors, behind which 240 palm-sized RFID-tagged plastic cards are stored. Each card secures certain medicines, as well as thermometers, plasters and other small items.
Today RSC Energia held special events to mark the 112th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, father of our country’s rocket technology and spaceflight, academician Sergei Pavlovich Korolev.
The crew of Soyuz MS-09 is back on Earth

As is already a tradition, a ceremony was held at the RSC Energia museum to present awards to the winners of the annual competition of young scientists and specialists.
Crew members of the Crew Transportation Spacecraft (CTS) Soyuz MS-09, which undocked today from the International Space Station (ISS) have successfully returned to Earth.
The descent vehicle with Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergei Prokopiev, ESA astronaut Alexander Gerst and NASA astronaut Serena Aunon-Chancellor landed in the steppes of Kazakhstan on December 20, 2018 at 8:02 Moscow Time.
