November 7, 2018

The winners and participants in the 26th International Space Olympiad for schoolchildren who will be high-school graduates in 2019 got invitations to receive Energia-sponsored training.

Most of the teenagers who got invitations to study in the leading technical universities of the country, at the moment are studying at various educational establishments of the town of science of Korolev: its lyceums, high schools and vocational schools. In addition to this, the offer to become RSC Energia-sponsored college students received participants in the youth project CanSat-Engineering School representing the Corporation team.

In the Energia coworking center company employees told high-school children about advantages and particularities of the sponsored training, opportunities for career growth and programs for young professionals support at RSC Energia. Participants in the meeting also received detailed information about universities and faculties, procedure for concluding a sponsored training contract, etc. The future students learned about design work which is being done at the coworking center by Corporations young professionals who are members of the Committee for Youth Innovation Projects.

Boris Soloviev, a pupil at the Korolev Science and Engineering Lyceum, a winner of the 26th ISO:

It is the fourth time that I take part in the Olympiad the first time was way back when I was in the 7th grade. At the time my project also placed first. I liked very much the way everything was organized, I liked the prizes, and especially I liked the fact that Energia offers sponsored training the winners! After graduating from high school I want to enroll in one of Moscow technical universities, and this is going to come in handy. And, of course, I view Energia, where my mother holds a job, as my potential future place of employment!

Ivan Krykov, a cadet at A.I.Pokryshkin Flight School in Monino:

Since I was 12, Ive been thinking who I was going to become in the future. Im making a choice between spaceflight and aviation!

RSC Energia pays a lot of attention to providing career guidance for talented young people and enticing them to seek employment with the Corporation. For many years Energia has been doing a lot of work among schoolchildren olympiads, competitions, lectures, Lessons from Space, tours of the Corporation museum. With support of the Corporation aerospace classes are being established, young professionals from Energia work with schoolchildren within the framework of all-Russia scientific and technical projects.
