The schoolchildren listened to lecture History and perspective directions of space exploration with great interest. The lecture was given by well-known at the Energia Corporation popularizer of space activity, Head of the Business Development Department for manned programs in low near-earth orbit and satellite systems Igor Nikolaevich Verkhovsky.
The International Competition of Children's Engineering Teams was held in St. Petersburg, organized by the Foundation for New Forms of Education Development - the federal operator of the network of children's technoparks Quantorium. Specialists of RSC Energia were organizers of one of the subject trends - tracks. This year the competition brought together more than 400 participants from almost all regions of our country, as well as guests from China, Iran, Belarus who competed in various nominations.
EVA-45A: the spacewalk is successfully completed

The spacewalk under the Russian program has been successfully completed by Roscosmos cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Sergei Prokopiev. The main task of EVA-45A was to inspect the outer surface of the International Space Station and the Orbital Module of Soyuz MS-09 spacecraft.

Today, December 7, RSC Energia, at its ergonomics development facility, runs an integrated experiment to simulate activities of the crew of the advanced Crew Transportation Spacecraft (CTS) Federatsiya during a manned mission. The testers are to try out for the first time a whole sequence of flight operations in the course of one timeline – to simulate the pre-launch processing of the spacecraft, its orbital insertion, rendezvous and docking with the International Space Station (ISS).

Today, on December 3, at 14:31 Moscow time integrated launch vehicle Soyuz-FG carrying the manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-11 with the ISS 58/59 Expedition crew was launched from Pad No.1 (Gagarin’s launch pad) of the Baikonur Launch Site.

On December 2, the State Commission at the Baikonur launch site have approved the prime and backup crew assignments for manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-11 and confirmed the readiness of Rocket and Space Complex Soyuz-FG/Soyuz МS-11 and the ground infrastructure for the launch under the ISS program.
