On February 28, 2018 at 05:31 Moscow time the descent vehicle of manned transport spacecraft Soyuz S-06 landed in the Kazakh steppe. Soyuz MS-06 crew consisting of spacecraft commander, ROSCOSMOS cosmonaut Alexander MISURKIN, NASA astronauts Mark VANDE HEI and Joseph ACABA safely returned to the Earth.
All re-entry and landing operations went normally. The health status of the returned crewmembers is good.

On February 15 at 13:38 Moscow Time the cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-08 has successfully docked with the propulsion compartment of the Service Module Zvezda of the International Space Station (ISS).
The medium launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a carrying the spacecraft was launched from Area 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome on February 13 at 11:13:33 Moscow Time. The spacecraft used a standard two-days flight profile to rendezvous with the station. The docking was performed in automatic mode.

Preparations continue at Baikonur cosmodrome for the launch of the manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-08. On February 15, 2018 specialists from Roscosmos companies completed electrical tests on the manned transportation spacecraft and proceeded with the new phase, the tests on the spacecraft in the vacuum chamber. The manned spacecraft Soyuz MS-08 was transferred to a vacuum chamber where for the next few days it is to be subjected to the leak tests.

Today, February 13, the cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-08 developed and built by RSC Energia has been successfully put into a low Earth orbit by a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle and is now headed towards the International Space Station (ISS).
The launch vehicle carrying the spacecraft was launched from Area 31 of the Baikonur Cosmodrome on February 13 at 11:13:33 Moscow Time. The agreement to cooperate on the Space Lesson Initiative deals with further development of this educational project. It was initiated by RSC Energia, administration of the Tomsk province, Institute for Physics of Strength and Materials Science of the Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Tomsk State Pedagogical University, an affiliate of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company - STVRC Tomsk and the Educational Center for Gifted Children Sirius (Sochi).

Today, February 8, the overall assembly of space transportation system consisting of the new-series cargo transportation spacecraft Progress MS-08 and launch vehicle (LV) Soyuz-2.1a has been successfully completed today. During the day, the orbital module with the spacecraft was mated to the third stage of the rocket at the launch vehicle processing facility.
At the end of the overall assembly representatives of the technical management and the state commission at the Baikonur cosmodrome made a decision on the readiness of the space transportation system to be rolled out and erected on the launch pad.

The transportation was performed by rail. A set of processing activities for final integration will be conducted at the integration and checkout facility of the launch vehicles within the processing operations.

The vehicle prelaunch processing under the International Space Station (ISS) program is in progress in the spacecraft Assembly and Testing Facility (SC ATF) at Baikonur cosmodrome. Per the preparatory work schedule for the nearest week the designers inspection of the vehicle, encapsulation of the fairing, transportation of the payload module with Progress S-08 from SC ATF to the launch vehicle integration and test facility (LV ITF) for final assembly with launch vehicle are planned.

The Winter session of project Air-Engineering School (CanSat in Russia) was closed in the RSC Energia museum. Participants and curators received certificates and the best teams a pass to the final.
The main goal of the Air-Engineering School (CanSat) project is the development of aerospace education in our country. Teams from all over Russia take part in it a total of 230 persons. During the Winter session schoolchildren and students defended their space developments and got a possibility to implement them. The strongest teams will take part in the final of the project this summer, among which are 4 teams of RSC Energia.

ROSCOSMOS cosmonauts Alexander MISURKIN and Anton SHKAPLEROV completed the first in 2018 spacewalk from the International Space Station (ISS). Within the 44th EVA planned within the Russian program the cosmonauts successfully fulfilled all main tasks.
The egress hatch was closed by cosmonauts, which returned to the space station at 02:46 Moscow time. The duration of their stay in outer space was 8 hours and 12 minutes. After returning to the station Alexander MISURKIN and Anton SHKAPLEROV are feeling well. The ISS-54 International Expedition crew continues performing the flight program.

RSC Energia specialists successfully performed filling of cargo transport vehicle Progress MS-08 with propellant components and compressed gases at the fuel filling station in Baikonur cosmodrome.
After filling the vehicle was delivered to the spacecraft integration and test facility (SC ITF) and installed in the jig for performing final processing operations.
