RSC Energia at Worldskills Hi-Tech2017

RSC Energia is goingto take part in the 4th National cross-industry high-technology skilled professions competition per WorldSkills Hi-Tech standards. It is going to take place in Yekaterinburg on November 3 through 7. It is organized by the Young Professionals Union (WorldSkills Russia), the government of Sverdlovsk region, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and Strategic Initiative Agency.

Representing Energia at the competition will be: design engineer Dmitry Rachkin, design engineer Andrei Karpenko – in the skills area of CAD Engineering Graphics, technician Nikita Fyodorov – in the skills area Prototyping,  and manual welding welder Maxim Starodubtsev – in the skills area Welding Technologies.

Earlier, they have successfully passed an elimination round at the company, then they won in the Second Corporate competition “Young Professionals of Roscosmos-2017” conducted per WorldSkills Russia standards, which was held on June 25 through 29, 2017 at Rocket and Space Center Progress in Samara.

In Yekaterinburg the young professionals from Energia will vie for medal places as members of the joint Roscosmos team consisting of 12 contestants and 12 experts/tutors. Besides Energia, the tema includes representatives from RSC Progress, Pilyugin NPC AP, Krasmash, Information Satellite Systems - Reshetnev Company, Semikhatov NPO of Automatics, TsENKI (Cosmodromes of Russia).

Contestants from RSC Energia have been training in preparation for the competiotion under the guidance of their tutors, who are going to serve as experts: Head of sector Anton Gukalo and lead design engineer Georgi Gusev (in the skills area of CAD Engineering Graphics), engineer Alexander Demusenko (in the skills area Prototyping) and production engineer Alexander Dubovitski (in the skills area Welding Technologies).

WorldSkills is an international non-commercial association which aims to raise the social status and public awareness of blue-color jobs. Taking part in Russia’s largest professional skills competition among young specialists (up to 28 years old) in Yekaterinburg will be teams from 29 leading Russian corporations and holdings. There will be 300 contestants and 300 experts/tutors. Guests from Austria, Brazil, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, South Africa and Switzerland came to the capital of the Urals to attend WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2017. An extensive business program is planned within the framework of the competition: project sessions, master classes, round tables, presentations and conferences.
