RSC Energia and Fund Talent and Success became partners

Rocket & Space Corporation Energia and Educational Fund Talent and Success concluded a long-term cooperation agreement.

The document was signed by the General Director of Corporation, Vladimir Solntsev, and the Fund manager, Elena Shmeleva.

The agreement provides for close cooperation between the Corporation and the Sirius Educational Center aimed at supporting gifted children and young people, popularizing engineering, research and project activities among the students.

Vladimir Solntsev said: We are continuously investing resources in all kinds of educational programs. I am sure that later on it will pay off in spades by many new interesting projects that will be developed and implemented by bright people - talented specialists with bold thoughts and ideas!

The Corporation will provide an expert support to the projects and programs of the Sirius Center dealing with the key areas of development of Russian science and technology.

Among the priority areas of cooperation are joint educational projects, organization of practical and on-the-job training, formation of the Sirius Science and Art Park, creation of a unified design and educational environment for rocket and space technologies, and a host of other things.

RSC Energia specialists as experts will take part in professional retraining and advanced training programs for teachers based on the Sirius Educational Center.

The cooperation between RSC Energia and the Fund will start from the work within the project educational session at the Sirius Center from July 1 to 24, 2017. One of the student projects is dedicated to expedition to the Moon. The participants will have to develop 3D models, make prototypes of the takeoff and landing and expedition complexes, think over scenarios of the crew activities, test prototypes and describe the mission program. The training will include stages of theoretical training in the basic space science, design and experimental development. The goal of the structured approach is to give senior high school students necessary knowledge and skills. RSC Energia specialists will act as tutors.


RSC Energia is the leader in the rocket and space industry, and the prime contractor for manned space systems. The Corporation conducts work on the development of unmanned space and rocket systems (launch vehicles and orbital transfer vehicles), and high-technology systems for various non-space applications. Since August 2014, the Corporation is headed by Vladimir Lvovich Solntsev.

SC ROSCOSMOS is a State Corporation that was established in August 2015 to implement a comprehensive reform of the Russian rocket-and-space industry. State Corporation ROSCOSMOS ensures the implementation of the Russian governments space program and its legal regulation. ROSCOSMOS is also placing orders for the development, manufacture and supply of space equipment and space infrastructure objects. The state corporation is also responsible for international space cooperation and arranging conditions for the future use of results of space activities in the social and economic development of Russia.

Sirius Educational Center was established by the Educational Fund Talent and Success on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, who chaired its supervisory board. The Fund is established by outstanding Russian scientists, sportsmen and men of art. The task of Sirius is to find the most successful schoolchildren in the regions of Russia, develop and support them, consolidate and propagate the best work practices for gifted persons. Six hundred schoolchildren are enrolled every month to the professional programs - 200 in each area (science, sports and art). Young musicians, artists, ballet dancers, mathematicians, physicists, chemists, biologists, hockey players, figure skaters and chess players study and live together, that gives them a unique experience in interdisciplinary and creative communication. Classes, accommodation and travel to Sirius for children are free. The session duration is 24 days. The session includes both classes in a special field and enhanced training in ones own area, master classes and creative meetings, and leisure activities. The lessons are given on the basis of the infrastructure that was used during the Winter Olympic Games in 2014.
