Energia will participate in RoboCup-2017

The combined team of RSC Energia (part of State Corporation ROSCOSMOS) and Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics will take part in the First Super-Regional RoboCup Championship of the Asia-Pacific Region. It will be held in Bangkok (Thailand) at a period of December 12-18, 2017. The team will perform in the Rescue league – competitions of rescue robots.

After opening remarks by General Designer of RSC Energia Yevgeni Mikrin, the Council of Chief Designers reviewed the launch readiness of the new-series manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-07 and launch vehicle Soyuz-FG. Also reviewed were the readiness of the ISS, of the launch and range facilities, equipment and personnel of LOCT and MCC, search and rescue vehicles, crew medical support, and of the Expedition crews for the upcoming work.
Two years ago, on initiative of young engineers the Corporation set up a Committee for Young People’s Innovation Projects. The main objective of the new structure was to implement creative ideas of young employees of RSC Energia.
RSC Energia: Angosat SC is being processed for launch

Maxim Cheremisin, the chairman of the Committee: “It all began with the work of creative young people within the framework of scientific and engineering activities on the basis of the Council of Young Specialists. But it soon became clear that the scope of work called for setting up a new structure.”
The work continues to prepare for launch from the Baikonur launch site the Angosat spacecraft built by RSC Energia (a part of State Corporation Roscosmos) under a contract with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Angola. The spacecraft is designed to provide communications and TV broadcast coverage on the territory of the Republic of Angola, as well as the entire African continent.

LV Soyuz-5 conceptual design review

Within the framework of this conference four sections were organized in which representatives of the industry enterprises shared their experience of implementing projects using the Production System methodology with their colleagues.
A session of the Scientific and Technical Council (STC) to review the results of R&D efforts on the project Development of Conceptual Design for a Medium Launch Vehicle and the project Development of Conceptual Design on a Set of Transportation Equipment for a Medium Launch Vehicle took place in Samara at Rocket and Space Center (RSC) Progress.

At the Baikonur cosmodrome work is in progress for prelaunch pocessing of the Angosat spacecraft made to order of the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologics of the Republic of Angola and intended to provide communication and television boadcasting to the territory of the Republic of Angola and the entire African continent.
RSC Energia: Angosat delivered to Baikonur

Work has been carried out to inspect the spacecraft after transportation, as well as the analysis of telemetry information of transportation conditions has been made. The spacecraft is prepared for docking with the Fregat-SB Upper Stage.
Today, November 16, the Angosat spacecraft built by Energia under a contract with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Angola has been delivered to the Baikonur launch site.

After the spacecraft is transported to the processing facility, the work to mate the Angosat SC with the upper stage will begin.
On November 16, 1965 automatic interplanetary station (AIS) Venera-3 created at OKB-1 (now RSC Energia) was launched from Baikonur by the Molniya launch vehicle. It was destined to be the first in the world spacecraft that performed a flight from Earth to another planet.

RSC Energia: Angosat ready for shipment to Baikonur

The unprecedented mission was carried out without any crew onboard and lasted 206 minutes. The spacecraft orbited the Earth twice, after which it successfully landed on a specially constructed runway at Baikonur. It was the world’s first landing of an Orbiter in automatic mode. At the time when the Orbiter came to a stop on the runway, its flight program was one second off schedule, and it was off the centerline of the runway by 3 meter.
Acceptance tests on the Angosat spacecraft built by the Corporation under a contract with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Angola have completed at RSC Energia.

Within the framework of acceptance tests RSC Energia has demonstrated to the customer the full compliance of the spacecraft functional parameters with the specification requirements.
The 4th National cross-industry high-technology skilled professions competition per WorldSkills Hi-Tech standards has ended at Yekatringurg. Roscosmos team, which included Energia employees, finished fourth in the corporate event.

The runner-ups of the competition include design engineer of Energia Corporation Andrei Karpenko, who won the bronze medal in the skills area CAD Engineering Graphics. His expert/tutor a lead design engineer Georgi Gusev.
On November 3 the closing session of the 21st Scientific and Technical conference of young scientists and specialists dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first artificial satellite of Earth was held at S.P. Korolev RSC Energia. The organizer of the conference was Energia Corporation.

About 400 young scientists and specialists from 83 leading companies in the industry and the best engineering universities of our country took part in the conference. Besides young people from Energia Corporation they included Rocket and Space Center Progress, Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, Pilyugin Research and Production Center for Automatics and Instrumentation, Sukhoi company, Makeev State Rocket Center and others.
RSC Energia is goingto take part in the 4th National cross-industry high-technology skilled professions competition per WorldSkills Hi-Tech standards. It is going to take place in Yekaterinburg on November 3 through 7. It is organized by the Young Professionals Union (WorldSkills Russia), the government of Sverdlovsk region, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and Strategic Initiative Agency.
