The meeting was opened by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry ROGOZIN who outlined the main principles for the development of space activities of Russia and the ROSCOSMOS State Corporation for prospects up to 2030 and also noted that the planning horizon should be much longer. Accepting the program up to 2025 and for prospects up to 2030, we still need to think about prospects up to 2050. Then we will have more clear and systematic comprehensive view of what we have to do today and tomorrow.
The abyss of space, full of mysteries and surprises, has been beckoning man from time immemorial. But few were chosen to become spacemen. Throughout history of our civilization, there have only been several hundreds of them. So what are to do those who do not have an opportunity to fly into space, but still dream about it?

During these tests the solar panels were deployed and inspected. The subsequent illumination with special lights with control of the current magnitude of the onboard cable network verified the circuits integrity and the operability of the most important elements of the power supply system.
Operations for the spacecraft prelaunch processing are carried out in Spacecraft Assembly & Testing Facilities (SC A&TF) at the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
Representatives of RSC Energia took part in the International Practical-Scientific Conference The Road to Stars which was held at the Korolev Gymnasium No.11.
RSC Energia: MTV Soyuz MS-04 has passed the leak tests

The main participants of the conference were senior pupils of Moscow and Moscow Region schools with thorough study of foreign languages. The reports were made in five languages: English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese.
The Corporation design engineer Evgeny Shevchenko gave an open lesson in the aerospace class attended by teachers of Moscow and Moscow Region schools, as well as teachers of a special school for diplomats children at the Indonesian Embassy in Moscow.
Specialists of RSC Energia and Space Center Yuzhny at the Baikonur Cosmodrome successfully completed the leak tests of manned transport vehicle (MTV) of a new modification Soyuz MS-4.

The purpose of testing space technology in a vacuum chamber using a helium-air medium in volumes to be checked at present is the most objective method for a leak check in ground conditions ensuring a check of the given strict requirements for leak-proofness.
The launch of the Soyuz MS-04 MTV with the crew of the next long-term expedition to the International Space Station is scheduled for April 20, 2017 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
The first Coworking Center (collective office) has been opened in the rocket and space industry at RSC Energia on the initiative of the Committee for Innovative Youth Projects (CIYP).

The movie Age of Pioneers is produced by Timur Bekmambetov and Yevgeni Mironov. This is a true story of the legendary mission of Alexei Leonov and Pavel Belayev, set against the backdrop of the space race between the two superpowers. The scientific consultant of the film was a chief specialist of RSC Energia Victor Blagov.
RSC Energia and SC Yuzhnyi specialists are preparing a transport manned vehicle of the new modification Soyuz MS-04 for leak tests in the vacuum chamber at Baikonur cosmodrome.

RSC Energia declares contest for pupils

The document was signed by the General Director of Corporation, Vladimir Solntsev, and the Fund manager, Elena Shmeleva.
The agreement provides for close cooperation between the Corporation and the Sirius Educational Center aimed at supporting gifted children and young people, popularizing engineering, research and project activities among the students.
The participants of scientific and technical cosmonautics projects contest "Future engineer school” can be 7-10 form pupils of general educational establishments of Korolev, Mytishchi, Ivanteyevka, Pushkino and other cities of the Moscow Region.

RSC Energia: acceptance tests of the equipment to study animal and bird migrations

The objective is to select the best specialists, possessing skills of working with space and/or aviation technique, which will become the first pilots of the new Russian spaceship Federatsiya, and will work on the program of the International Space Station (ISS), and also will become the first Russians to fly to the Moon.
Specialists from RSC Energia took part in acceptance tests of the qualification model of the ICARUS scientific equipment to study migrations of wild animals and birds.

The tests were conducted in Germany at the premises of the equipment developer - SpaceTech (STI). These included conducting functional and performance tests on the qualification model of the ICARUS equipment, inspecting the antenna unit and control computer OBC-I from the standpoint of fire safety, and developing the schedule of further activities.
Exactly 50 years ago, on March 10, 1967 spacecraft 7K-L1No. 2 which in the media was called Kosmos-146 was launched by launch vehicle UR-500K/Block D from Baikonur. It was the launch of the first spacecraft under the Soviet Circumlunar Flight Program.
Memorable date. 83rd anniversary of Yuri Gagarin

Kosmos-146 had a simplified control system as the main purpose of the mission was to test the Upper Stage D – the fourth stage of launch vehicle UR-500K (Proton). The spacecraft was successfully injected into the flight trajectory to the Moon. The engine firing of the Upper Stage D occurred twice during the flight. Further flight control and the spacecraft return were not planned.
March 9, 2017 marks the 83rd anniversary of the first cosmonaut of our planet Yuri Alexeevich Gagarin, the first man to see Earth from space with his own eyes! His flight changed the history of humankind and opened to people the road into space.

Yuri spent his childhood in Klushino in Gzhatsk (now Gagarin) district of Smolensk region, RSFSR. In 1941 Gagarin went to the 1st grade of secondary school, but because of the war he could only resume his studies as late as 1943. Then for three years he studied at vocational school No.10 in Lyubertsy, Moscow region, learning the trade of moulder/foundryman.

On June 16, 1963 Valentina Vladimirovna performed her legendary flight on the Vostok-6 spacecraft heralding a new era of space exploration by the beautiful half of mankind. This flight was preceded by a long way.
Exactly 105 years ago, on March 1, 1912, Boris Chertok, a prominent scientist, one of the pioneers in the field of rocket and space technology was born in Lodz.
RSC Energia: 51 years of Venera-3 Mission

Almost all his life Boris Evseevich dedicated to the development and creation of spacecraft and rocket control systems. Since 1945, he together with Sergei Pavlovich Korolev participated in the study of captured German V-2 rockets and development on their basis of the first Soviet rockets making a significant contribution to the creation of national rocket and space technology. In 1974 Boris Chertok was appointed Deputy General Designer of NPO Energia in charge of control systems.
On March 1, 1966 Venera-3 automatic interplanetary station reached the Venusian surface. It was the world’s first flight of a spacecraft from the Earth to another planet.
Venera-3 was launched by Molnya launch vehicle from Baikonur on November 16, 1965. The station mass was 960 kg. During the flight 63 communication sessions were held and the trajectory correction was made.
