Today, on August 1, 2014 a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of RSC Energia was held.
Members of the Board of Directors elected Igor KOMAROV, General Director of URSC as a new Chairman. Thereafter, the Board of Directors took a decision to suspend powers of Vitaly LOPOTA, President, General Designer of RSC Energia.
Vladimir SOLNTSEV, Executive Manager of NPO Energomash, was appointed acting single-member executive body (President) of RSC Energia.

Igor KOMAROV, General Director of URSC, Chairman of the Board of Directors of RSC Energia: "Today the Board of Directors took a decision to suspend powers of the President, General Designer of RSC Energia Vitaly Lopota. He ran the Corporation for 7 years. During this period ambitious projects have been implemented, some of them have become truly breakthroughs. Vitaly Alexandrovich got a position as a Vice President for technological development at URSC. Subsequently, the combination of two such key positions in RSC Energy management is not reasonable. And I'm confident that the division of the position of President and General Designer is useful in this situation - we all win from this.

Vladimir SOLNTSEV was born on 09.02.1957, graduated from Tula Polytechnic Institute and the Russian Academy of Foreign Trade. Since 1980 he worked at Tula Machine Building Plant - rose through the ranks from a foreman to a deputy director of the company. In 1995 he joined the Mezhkombank Group. In the early 2000 he began to work in Vneshtorgbank (VTB) as a Vice-President, then Senior Vice President and Deputy Chairman of the Board. In October 2010 he was appointed an Executive Director of the NPO Energomash.
