Happy New Year!

Happy New Year of 2011, our dear colleagues, esteemed veterans, partners, visitors to RSC Energia web site!

One more year-long orbit of our planet Earth around the Sun, upon which we all are setting out with hopes and expectations for the best, will be filled with current affairs and new creative aspirations.

The coming year of the 50th anniversary of the first manned space mission carried out onboard Vostok spacecraft by our fellow countryman Y.A. Gagarin has been declared the Russian Space Year. This has a special significance for the veterans and employees of the Corporation, companies and organizations in our country, for those who was directly involved in the preparations and support for this historic mission and subsequent manned space missions.

Our company, working in cooperation with subcontractors, which were headed by the renowned pleiad of Chief Designers headed by S.P. Korolev blazed the trail towards the starry expanses of the Universe, towards new knowledge and aspirations. Assuring the onward progress along this trail is the important mission of our team, which is the keeper of and successor to the traditions of the Korolev school.

In the expiring year S.P.Korolev RSC Energia in cooperation with other companies in Russian industry and partners from abroad was active in all areas of work - both in its main line of work, the space, and in non-space activities, including work to support the operation and development of the Corporation production facilities and its personnel potential.

The International Space Station program planned for 2010 has been completed. Launched towards ISS have been five unmanned logistics spacecraft Progress M and four manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA, out of which one belongs to a new series with modified onboard systems. Added to the Russian Segment of the space station has been a research module Rassvet launched with the help of our US partners. The Russian program of scientific experiments and research onboard ISS is steadily expanding.

Corporation has started a cycle of activities to enable the Sea Launch system to resume its operations in the new year.

Important work has been continuing on the development of unmanned spacecraft, contacts have been established with potential customers for new projects in this area.

Support has been provided for launches of spacecraft in high-energy Earth orbits using upper stages of the Block DM type.

Our company and our partners have great tasks before them. Taking into account our enormous experience, properly addressing them is our duty and responsibility within the wide-ranging effort to explore space in the interests of the people of Earth.

Joint dedicated and purposeful work effort by the work teams of the Prime Design Office and the Experimental Machine-building Plant of RSC Energia, of the Baikonur branch office, thematic divisions and main production facilities, conducted in cooperation with our partners is the recipe for achieving these goals.

We sincerely thank you, our dear colleagues, respected partners, esteemed veterans, for your great contribution to the cause! Also for your earlier efforts contributing to the achievements and developments which went down into the history of world spaceflight.

Happy New Year! We wish you all good health, high spirits, creative energy, new fruitful and interesting work, success in life! All the best to you, your families and relatives in the coming year!

We thank the visitors to the RSC Energia's web site for their kind attention and interest in Corporation's activities. We wish you health, prosperity and creative successes in the New Year!
