Educational & Humanitarian projects on ISS Russian Segment
Experiment ARISS-3 is a part of the scientific research program to be conducted by ESA astronaut of the Dutch nationality Andre Kuipers onboard the ISS RS in the
frame of DSM Delta Project, and is an extension of experiments
ARISS-2 (SSM Cervantes Project) and EDUCATION
(Odissea Project). The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of
the research program.
Carrying out the ARISS community activity, aiming at building, developing and maintaining the amateur radio activity, using the radio station on board the ISS.
Providing in real time radio transmission from the ISS, during which pupils in selected Dutch schools will put questions to the astronaut.
Flight Equipment Used:
- On-board Amateur Radio equipment (Sputnik-CM system).
Real-time talks conducted during radio amateur sessions.
