![]() NewsLaunch vehicle with Soyuz MS-13 permitted to roll out to the launch padJuly 17, 2019On July 16, the Crew Transportation Spacecraft (CTS) Soyuz MS-13 developed and built by RSC Energia was transported as a part of the ascent unit to the site where it was to be integrated with the launch vehicle Soyuz-FG. Today, specialists from RSC Energia and other leading companies in the rocket and space industry have successfully completed the final sequence of operations to assemble the integrated space transportation system: the ascent unit containing the spacecraft was mated to the third stage of the rocket. After that, the technical management and the state commission held meetings where a decision was made on the readiness of the space transportation system consisting of the crew transportation spacecraft (CTS) SoyuzMS-13 and launch vehicle (LV) Soyuz-FG to be rolled out and erected on the launch pad. The roll out of the Soyuz-FG LV with the Soyuz MS-13 CTS from the processing facility and its erection on the launch pad at he Baikonur launch site are to take place tomorrow, July 18. The launch of Soyuz MS-13 with the crew of the next expedition to the ISS is scheduled for July 20, 2019 from the Baikonur launch site.
