The general assembly of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progress MS-11 cargo transport vehicle has been completed

April 1, 2019

On March 31, the general assembly of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle with the Progess MS-11 cargo transport vehicle was completed. The payload module with the cargo vehicle and the third stage is mated with the package (stages 1 and 2) of the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle.

Representatives of Technical Management and the State Commission issued a certificate of readiness for roll-out and erection of the launch vehicle on launch pad No. 31.

The launch of the Porgress MS-11 vehicle is scheduled for April 4, 2019 at 14:01 Moscow Time.

The purpose of the flight is to deliver propellant, water and other cargo to the International Space Station, which are required for further operation of the Station in a man-tended mode.
