November 30, 2018

Yesterday evening, on November 29, manned transportation spacecraft Soyuz MS-11 developed and manufactured by RSC Energia within the nose assembly was transported for final assembly with launch vehicle Soyuz-FG to the assembly and test facility at Site 112 of Baikonur cosmodrome.

Today in the course of the day a series of assembly and integration operations within the framework of preparations for the launch under the International Space Station (ISS) program will be conducted.

Prior to sending the nose assembly with Soyuz MS-11 to the final integration, a check inspection of the spacecraft in the launch configuration was performed in the course of which the prime and backup crews took their places in the spacecraft, familiarized themselves with the accommodation of the payloads and equipment in the descent module and habitable compartment, checked out the operational integrity of various systems in the test mode.

The launch of Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with Soyuz MS-11 is scheduled for December 3, 2018 from Launch Pad #1 (Gagarin’s Launch Pad) of Baikonur launch site.

The prime crew of ISS-58/59 Expedition consists of Roscosmos cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko, CSA astronaut David Saint-Jacques and NASA astronaut Anne McClain. Their backups are Roscosmos cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov, ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano and NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan.
