Expedition 55/56 (ISS-55/56)
KEY MISSION TASKS OF EXPEDITION ISS-55
(February 28 - June 3, 2018)
- Docking of Dragon SpX-14 to Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
- Launch of one ISS-55/56 Russian crewmember and two NASA ISS-55/56 Expedition crewmembers by spacecraft Soyuz MS-08;
- Docking of Soyuz MS-08 spacecraft to Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2);
- Loading and undocking of CV Progress MS-07 vehicle from Instrument Compartment of DC1 Pirs;
- Loading and undocking of Dragon SpX-14 from Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
- Partial unloading of CV Progress MS-08;
- Docking and unloading of Cygnus OA-9 to Node1-Nadir using SSRMS (to be determined);
);
- Loading and undocking of Cygnus OA-9 from Node1-Nadir using SSRMS (to be determined);
- Operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz MS-07 spacecraft from Mini Research Module Rassvet (MRM1) (return of three ISS-54/55 Expedition crewmembers);
- Support of the Space Station functionality;
- Work on the re-equipping of the ISS RS;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
- Conduct of the onboard photos, video imagery of the ISS RS flight history and performing operations under the symbolic activity program.
The ISS-55 crew consists of 3 persons (February 28 - March 23, 2018), 6 persons (March 23 - June 3, 2018).
KEY MISSION TASKS OF EXPEDITION ISS-56
(June 3 - October 4, 2018)
- Launch of one ISS-56/57 Russian crewmember, one ESA crewmember and one NASA crewmember by Soyuz ÌS-09;
- docking of Soyuz ÌS-09 to MRM1 Rassvet;
- docking of Dragon SpX-15 vehicle to Node2-Nadir and unloading (to be determined);
- docking of Progress MS-09 vehicle to DC1 (Pirs);
- partial unloading of Progress MS-09 vehicle;
- unloading and undocking of Cygnus OA-9 vehicle from Node1-Nadir using SSRMS;
- unloading and undocking of Dragon SpX-15 from Node2-Nadir (to be determined);
- final unloading of Progress MS-08 vehicle;
- unloading and undocking of Progress MS-08 vehicle from IC of SM Zvezda;
- docking of vehicle HTV-7 to Node2-Nadir (TBD);
- operational support for loading and undocking of Soyuz MS-08 from Mini Research Module Poisk (MRM2) (return of three ISS-55/56 Expedition crewmembers);
- performance of RS-based EVA;
- performance of two USOS-based EVA;
- support of the Space Station functionality;
- Work on the re-equipping of the ISS RS;
- Performance of the science and application research program and experiments;
- Conduct of the onboard photos, video imagery of the ISS RS flight history and performing operations under the symbolic activity program.
The ISS-56 Expedition consists of 3 persons (June 3 - June 8, 2018), 6 persons (June 8 - October 4, 2018).
