Soyuz МS-07 Space Vehicle is fueled with propellant components and compressed gases

December 7, 2017

RSC Energia specialists successfully performed fueling of the new series manned transport vehicle Soyuz MS-07 with propellant components and compressed gases at Baikonur Cosmodrome.

After fueling, the vehicle was delivered to the spacecraft Assembly and Testing Facility (SC ATF) and installed in the assembly jig for further prelaunch operations.

Per the preparatory work schedule the transport manned vehicle docking with the transfer compartment is planned for tomorrow.

The launch of Soyuz MS-04 carrying the crew of the next long-duration tour to the International Space Station (ISS) is scheduled on December 17, 2017 from Baikonur cosmodrome. ROSCOSMOS cosmonaut Anton SHKAPLEROV, NASA astronaut Scott TINGLE and JAXA astronaut Norishige KANAI are crewmembers of the ISS-54/55 Expedition.

The transport manned vehicle Soyuz MS developed and built by RSC Energia is designed to deliver the crews of up to three and their accompanying cargos to the International Space Station (ISS), as well as to return them to Earth. When attached to the ISS, it also serves as a crew rescue vehicle and is kept permanently ready for emergency crew return to Earth.
