Designers’ inspection of Progress MS-07 cargo spacecraft completed

October 5, 2017

RSC Energia specialists working at the Baikonur launch site have conducted designers’ inspection of the cargo transport vehicle Progress MS-07 and performed processing operations to roll-on the payload fairing of the medium launch vehicle Soyuz-2.1a.

The vehicle prelaunch processing under the International Space Station (ISS) program is in progress in the spacecraft Assembly and Testing Facility (SC ATF) at Baikonur cosmodrome.

Per the preparatory work schedule transportation of the payload module with Progress МS-07 from SC ATF to the launch vehicle integration and test facility (LV ITF) for final assembly with launch vehicle will take place tomorrow on October 6, 2017.

The launch of Progress MS-07 under the International Space Program (ISS) program is planned for October 12, 2017. The purpose of the flight is to deliver propellant, food, water and other cargo to the ISS, which are required for operation of the Station in a man-tended mode.
