The Soyuz TMA-19M crews arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome

The prime and the backup crewmembers of the Soyuz TMA-19M manned transport vehicle arrived at the Baikonur cosmodrome for further pre-flight training.

The vehicle prime crew consists of Russian cosmonaut Yury Malenchenko, NASA astronaut Timothy Kopra and ESA astronaut Timothy Peake. The backup crew consists of Anatoly Ivanishin (Roscosmos), Takuya Onishi (JAXA) and Kathleen Rubens (NASA).

The Soyuz TMA-19M MTV launch with the crew for the next long-duration tour to the International Space Station (ISS) is planned on December 15, 2015 from site No. 1 (Gagarin’s Start) from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
