Fourteenth Russian Visiting Crew

 

Launch:
  On April 8, 2008 at 15:16:39 Moscow time (11:16:39 UTC) Russian manned transport spacecraft Soyuz TMA-12 was launched by the Soyuz-FG launch vehicle.
Launch Site:
  Baikonur launch site, Republic of Kazakhstan.
Docking:
  On April 10, 2008 at 16:57 Moscow time (12:57 UTC) to docking compartment/module Pirs of the ISS Orbital Complex.
Undocking:
  On April 19, 2008 at 9:06 Moscow time (5:06 UTC) the Soyuz TMA-11 spacecraft undocked from the Zaria Module of the ISS Orbital Complex.
Landing:
  On April 19, 2008.
Landing Site:
  On the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan at 50° 32' North latitude and 61° 06' East longitude.
Flight duration:
  10 days 21 hr 13 min.

 

MAJOR INCREMENT TASKS

  • Launch of the visiting crew space flight participant, citizen of South Korea Yi So Yeon by Soyuz TMA-12 manned transport vehicle;
  • Unloading of Soyuz TMA-12 manned transport vehicle;
  • Planned changeover of Soyuz TMA-11, which has been acting as a crew rescue vehicle as part of the ISS since 12 October 2007;
  • Implementation of Korea Astronaut Program (KAP) onboard the ISS;
  • Photo and video imagery on board ISS RS for educational purposes;
  • Communications operation using Sputnik SM relay satellite;
  • Conduct of public affair and symbolic activities;
  • Communication with the Russian Mission Control Center;
  • Maintenance of Soyuz TMA-11 systems;
  • Visiting crew life support on ISS RS;
  • ISS emergency drill walk;
  • Return of equipment to Soyuz TMA-11;
  • Return of the visiting crew space flight participant, citizen of South Korea Yi So Yeon together with the two ISS-16 crewmembers Peggy Whitson and Yury Malenchenko in Soyuz TMA-11 descent capsule.
