S.P. Korolev RSC Energia – MCC-M, Korolev, Moscow Region.
A scheduled one-burn orbital correction of the International Space Station (ISS) has been performed.
The correction used corrective thrusters KD1 and KD2 on the Russian Service Module Zvezda.
The objective of the correction was to establish conditions that are necessary for the rendezvous of the ISS with a Russian Transport Cargo Vehicle Progress M-60 (to be launched on May 12, 2007), and later on with a US Space Shuttle.

On April 26, 2007, the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army became the venue for the ceremony of awarding the National Sports Prize of Glory 2006.
The crewmembers of the 15th Expedition to the International Space Station – Fyodor Yurchikhin (cosmonaut tester of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) and Oleg Kotov (cosmonaut tester of the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center) - announced during a communications session that the winner in the Best Men’s Team nomination was the Russian national men’s tennis team.

Soyuz TMA-9 descent capsule landingThe Expedition 14 crew of the International Space Station (ISS-14) consisting of Mikhail Turin, RSC Energia’s test cosmonaut, and Michael Lopez-Alegria, NASA astronaut returned to the Earth in the descent capsule of Soyuz TMA-9 spacecraft. Along with them, Charles Simonyi, US citizen, returned to the ground, who as a space flight participant has been working onboard the station from April 9 through April 21 under the Visiting Crew (VC-12) Program.

The Soyuz TMA-9 landing commission, having considered readiness reports from the spacecraft descent and landing support services as well as weather reports for the initially planned landing area, decided to move the spacecraft landing area to an area 130 km away from Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan.
The landing of the descent vehicle is slated for April 21, 2007, 16:31 Moscow Time.
Getting ready to return to Earth in the descent vehicle of Soyuz TMA-9 are members of Expedition ISS-14 Mikhail Tyurin (the spacecraft commander, S.P. Korolev RSC Energia researcher-cosmonaut) an Michael Lopez-Alegria (flight engineer, NASA astronaut), as well as a space flight participant, US citizen Charles Simonyi (visiting expedition 12).

S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia takes part in the International Industries Fair in Hanover, which opened on April 16.
RSC Energia exhibits include models of the International Space Station, next-generation reusable manned spacecraft Clipper, telecommunication satellites of the Yamal series, Earth remote sensing satellites, etc.

N.N. Sevastiyanov, RSC Energia’s President and General Designer, congratulated on behalf of the Corporation management those present in the hall with the professional holiday. On the RF Government’s instructions, he also awarded B.Y Chertok, the RAS academician, business associate of S.P. Korolev and one of the elderst employees of the Corporation a Certificate of Honour for the great contribution made by Boris Yevseevich to the rise and development of the Soviet and Russian cosmonautics.

Russian manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-10 has docked with the International Space Station (ISS).
The spacecraft made its approach to ISS after two days of free flight in low Earth orbit. The docking was performed in automatic mode.
The initial contact between the docking port on the space station Functional and Cargo Module Zarya and the docking unit of the spacecraft occurred at 23:10 Moscow Time. At that time the ISS was within coverage of the Russian ground tracking stations.

Soyuz-FG LV blast-off Prior to the launch At 21:31:14 Moscow Time a launch vehicle Soyuz-FG with Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft was launched from the Baikonur launch site to the International Space Station.
The Increment 15 (ISS-15) crew and visiting crew 12 (VC-12) are on board the Russian transport manned vehicle. Soyuz TMA-10 is carrying a crew consisting of Russian cosmonauts Oleg Valeriavich Kotov (Gagarin CTC test cosmonaut) and Fyodor Nikolaevich Yurchikhin (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia test cosmonaut), as well as a spaceflight participant of the ISS visiting crew, USA citizen, Charles Simonyi. The objective of the launch is the scheduled replacement of two ISS-14 crewmembers and of the Soyuz TMA-9 spacecraft that has been serving within the space station as its crew rescue vehicle since September 20, 2006.

The prime and backup crews of the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraftA meeting of the State commission was held. Director of Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center V.V. Tsibliev reported about the crew readiness for the planned spaceflight. General Designer and Technical Manager of manned space complexes flight tests N.N. Sevastianov reported about readiness of the Soyuz FG/Soyuz TMA-10 rocket-space complex for further prelaunch processing. The State commission approved the prime and backup crews for the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft and the ISS-15 and also a decision was adopted to continue preparation of the Soyuz-FG/Soyuz TMA-10 rocket-space complex for fueling and launch at the set time on April 7, 2007, namely at 21 hr. 31 min Moscow time.

Soyuz-FG launch vehicle At 5 hr 00 min Moscow time a rollout of the Soyuz spacecraft from the assembly-test facility to the launch site was provided. The Soyuz-FG launch vehicle with the Soyuz TMA-10 transport spacecraft was erected on the launch pad. Operations under the launch minus two days program began.
The launch of the Soyuz-FG integrated launch vehicle with the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft to the ISS Orbital Complex is planned for 07.04.2007 at 21:31 Moscow time.

Today the manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-9 was redocked from the Functional Cargo Module (FGB) Zarya to Zvezda Service Module, the docking port which had been earlier occupied by Progress-58 unmanned logistics spacecraft.
The purpose of this operation is to free up the docking port on the Functional Cargo Module Zarya for the manned spacecraft Soyuz TMA-10 slated for launch on April 7, 2007.
The operations of pulling the spacecraft away from the station, flying around it and subsequently redocking with it were performed in manned mode by the spacecraft commander Mikhail Tyurin (RSC Energia’s cosmonaut-tester). Soyuz TMA-9 stayed in free flight for 25 minutes.

A technical management meeting chaired by RSC Designer General N.N. Sevastianov was held today at the Baikonur launch site to review the readiness of Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft for fuelling and starting irreversible operations. A decision was made to send the spacecraft on to the filling station. The filling of the spacecraft with propellant components and compressed gases is scheduled for March 29, 2007.
The launch of Soyuz TMA-10 is scheduled for April 7, 2007.

Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft crew The primary and backup crews of the ISS Expedition 15 and Taxi Mission 12 have entered into their final training phase in the processing facility. Fyodor Yurchikhin (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia), Oleg Kotov (Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center) and Charles Simonyi (USA) reported to General Designer N.N. Sevastianov on their readiness to proceed with the training. The cosmonauts have inspected the Soyuz TMA-10 spacecraft, tried on Sokol-KV spacesuits and customized contoured couches, went through the on-board documentation and the launch manifest, checked their radio communications equipment, as well as conducted a training session for scientific experiments.

Soyuz TMA-10 prime crew meeting The prime crew (F.N. Yurchikhin (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia), O.V. Kotov (RGNII CTC after Yu.A. Gagarin), Ch. Simonyi (USA)) and the backup crew (R.Yu. Romanenko (RGNII CTC after Yu.A. Gagarin) and M.B. Kornienko (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) of Soyuz TMA-10 transport vehicle arrived to Baikonur cosmodrome. At the airport they were met by N.N. Sevastiyanov, S.P. Korolev RSC Energia General Designer and other Corporation managers.
The crew commanders reported to General Designer Nikolai Sevastiyanov about their readiness for preflight trainings. From March 28 through April 3 the cosmonauts will have to accomplish trainings and accept Soyuz TMA-10 space vehicle.

Today the first meeting of the Committee on Granting Private Pensions to the Corporation’s Employees was held under the Pension Program developed by S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Pubic Corporation Energia and already in effect since February 2007.
The Committee reviewed the submitted documents and by the resolution approved unanimously granted private pensions to the four employees whose continiuos work record at the Corporation exceeds 30 years. Three employees of the four will be granted life pensions, while the fourth employee will get a fixed pension, with a 15-year payment period. Guided by the Committee – adopted resolution, the Corporation will ensure that lump sum contribution is made to private pension fund "Gazfond" in support of future pension payments.

Today N.N. Sevastiyanov, RSC Energia President, General Designer of manned space complexes, Technical Manager in charge of flight tests of manned space complexes, held out meeting of the Technical Management. Progress of prelaunch processing of Soyuz TMA-10 space vehicle and Rocket–Space Complex components was being discussed, with the launch slated for April 7, 2007. RSC Energia’s Technical Management and representatives of the allied entities such as KB TKhM, KBOM, "TsSKB-Progress", NPOIT, TsENKI, FKTs Baikonur, NIIAO, NIITP took part in the meeting activities.
As follows from the discussion it was resolved to admit Soyuz TMA-10 space vehicle to a final prelaunch processing stage under the approved work schedule.
On March 28 the Prime Crew, including F.N. Yurchikhin (flight engineer of the space vehicle, ISS-15 commander, S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, Russia), O.V. Kotov (space vehicle commander, ISS-15 flight engineer, RGNII CTC after Yu.A. Gagarin, Russia) and Ch. Simonyi (space flight participant, USA), as well as their backup cosmonauts R.Yu. Romanenko (RGNII CTC after Yu.A. Gagarin, Russia) and M.B. Korniyenko (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia, Russia), is to conduct training on Soyuz TMA-10 space vehicle and fit check of personal equipment at Assembly and Test Facility of RSC Energia’s Baikonur branch.

A training session in MCC-M In the afternoon, Moscow Mission Control Center (MCC-M) hosted training session under the crew training program for Expedition 15 of the International Space Station (ISS-15) and Visiting Crew-12 (VC-12), which reviewed the Mission Program and the ISS Russian Segment operational status.
The training session was attended by ISS-15 Prime Crew cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) and Oleg Kotov (RGNII GCNC), their backup cosmonauts Mikhail Korniyenko (S.P. Korolev RSC Energia) and Roman Romanenko (RGNII GCTC), US citizen Charles Simonyi as a space flight participant, as well as NASA astronauts Clayton Anderson and his backup Gregory Chamitoff.
