S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia hosted the working meeting of the delegation from Federal Agency for Health Care and Social Development (Roszdrav) and the Corporation management and specialists, Experimental Machinebuilding Plant (ZEM) and Corporation subsidiary "Orthopedic Industry, Moscow, Energia" (OIME).
Roszdrav’s delegation led by Yu.N. Belenkov, the Agency’s Head, was acquainted with work progress in developing and manufacturing prosthetic-orthopedic products in the Corporation, was shown round the production bays for manufacturing prosthetic modules at ZEM shops, dedicated test base of the Corporation designed to test these modules.
Acting Corporation President, General Director of RSC Energia ZEM A.F. Strekalov told Roszdrav’s Head the history of developing prosthetic-orthopedic products at the enterprise, latest developments and achievements in organizing their serial production, sales and their assured practical use. Special attention was given to the issues of manufacturing improvement, sales and operational support of these socially significant products.
Also the members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the developments in rocket and space technology and its operational use, visited the test and assembly center, as well as the Museum of S.P. Korolev RSC Energia.
