Preparations are under way for the second extravehicular activity to be conducted by the 15th Prime Crew (ISS-15) members on the International Space Station. Under the Mission Program, works on outside of the ISS are scheduled for June 6.
Extravehicular activity starts at 18 hours 30 minutes Moscow Time (opening of Pirs Module egress hatch). According to EVA preparation plan, Fyodor Yurchikhin (crew commander, test-cosmonaut from RSC Energia after S.P. Korolev) and Oleg Kotov (flight engineer, test-cosmonaut from RGNII CTC after Yu.A. Gagarin) are to hold talks with specialists from Moscow Mission Control Center on EVA timeline, prepare equipment and apparatus, take part in medical conference with physicians.
During extravehicular activity it is scheduled to complete works on installation of extra debris shields on Zvezda Service Module (packages No 2 and No 3), which cosmonauts began during May 30-31.
Biorisk-MSN apparatus is scheduled to be installed on the surface of Pirs docking module – compartment. Given free time, cosmonauts will provide digital broad band link cable routing and connection for high-speed data transmission between the ISS American and Russian Segments.
American astronaut Sunita Williams is engaged in preparatory works for the coming arrival of US Atlantis Orbiter.
