FLIGHT EQUIPMENT USED:

  • Guidance and navigation control system sensors and magnetometer
    to determine the station motion parameters and magnetic field parameters.
 

OBJECTIVE:

Determination and analysis of magnetic interference at ISS to improve the attitude determination accuracy and account for impact of the station magnetic field on the experiments and investigations performed at the ISS.

TASKS:

  • Study of the station proper magnetic field impact on the attitude determination accuracy by means of magnetometers;
  • Investigation of errors of the station magnetic field affecting the accuracy of other science experiment results.
  • Measurement of the ISS proper magnetic field.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Updating of mathematical models of the ISS magnetic environment.
