• Luch-2 equipment accommodating multipurpose crystallization cassettes

  for transportation of the Luch-2 equipment

• Temperature-stable container "AQUA 01"

PURPOSE:

Carrying out crystallization with gene-engineering molecular complexes Caf 1M and Caf 1 with synthetic peptide under zero-gravity conditions.

OBJECTIVES:

Development tests of best crystallization conditions and production of crystals of proteins Caf1 and complex Caf1M with synthetic peptide Caf1 under flight conditions.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

The crystals grown under space flight conditions in multipurpose crystallization cassettes returned to Earth for a subsequent X-ray crystal analysis.

EXPECTED RESULTS:

The experimental investigation will enable to develop biologically active substances (cytokinins and protective antigens) for medicine and veterinary medicine.
