Experiment MUSCLE-M is included in the program of research activities to be performed by Malaysian angkasawan Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie onboard the ISS Russian Segment in the framework of ANGKASA MSM Project. The experiment is performed under the joint program with ESA.

USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

• MUSCLE logbook
  with a set of questions for daily recording of a subjective low back pain experienced by the astronaut during a day.

PURPOSE:

Assessment of astronaut deep muscle corset atrophy in response to microgravity exposure.

OBJECTIVE:

Assessment and recording of development of low back pain by astronaut.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Information recorded in the MUSCLE logbook, which is returned to the ground.
