GOAL EXPERIMENT

Experiment GOAL forms part of the scientific research program performed by Italian Astronaut Roberto Vittori (ESA) on the Russian Segment of the ISS in the frame of ENEIDE ISM Project. The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of the research program.

USED CLOTHING:

  • T-Shirt developed using new fabrics and design.

SUPPORT FACILITIES:

  • Camera Nikon D1X.

CONSUMABLES:

  • Memory card for photos.
  

PURPOSE:

Increase astronauts' comfort and efficiency by improving their psychological and physiological well-being by means of garment wearability, aesthetics, thermal stability and bodily hygiene on board.

OBJECTIVE:

Comparative analysis between GOAL clothing item and usual garments onboard with the aim to verify the clothing system efficiency.

EXPERIMENT RESULTS:

Memory card with photos of the astronaut wearing GOAL T-Shirt performing routine planned activities onboard the station.
