Experiment ETD-I forms part of the scientific research program performed by Italian Astronaut Roberto Vittori (ESA) on the Russian Segment of the ISS in the frame of ENEIDE ISM Project. The European Space Agency is a customer of the preparation and implementation of the research program.

USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:

ETD hardware including:

• ETD System unit
  consisting of a dedicated computer and built-in power supply
• ETD Head unit
  representing a light-weight removable measuring unit secured on the subject’s head and having information and electrical interfaces with the system unit.

• Camera Nikon D1X.

CONSUMABLES:

• Container ETD hard disk
  To record and store the experiment results.

PURPOSE:

Investigate vestibular-ocular-motor orientation under microgravity conditions.

OBJECTIVE:

Measure eyes and head motions using the eye tracking device, record and store the experiment data.

Data recorded on the hard disk.
