ENEIDE ISM Project NGF EXPERIMENT
Experiment NGF forms part of the scientific research
program performed by Italian Astronaut Roberto Vittori
(ESA) on the Russian Segment of the ISS in the frame
of ENEIDE
ISM Project. The European Space Agency is a customer
of the preparation and implementation of the research
program.
USED SCIENCE HARDWARE:
Saliva-A.NGF Kit
PURPOSE:
Assess alterations of nerve growth factor (NGF
factor) and other neurotrophins affecting a response
to pre-, during and post-flight stresses on Soyuz.
OBJECTIVES:
Collection of saliva samples by the astronaut during
VC-8 mission.
EXPERIMENT RESULTS:
Collected saliva samples (12 samples) placed in
two Saliva-A.NGF Kits.
