CHONDRO experiment is a part of the science research program to be performed aboard the ISS RS by Pedro Duque, ESA astronaut of Spanish nationality in the frame of the SSM SERVANTES Project. The European Space Agency is a customer for the preparation and implementation of the scientific program.

PURPOSE:

Find a more stable cartilage structure and to test the experiment hardware and test the method of cartilage growth with this specific experiment hardware.

OBJECTIVE:

Cultivation of chondrocyte cells in microgravity conditions on the ISS RS.

EXPERIMENT RESULT:

Exposed Winograd samples located in WINOGRAD return container.
